Castle Engineering and Manufacturing are working with a leading food production business who are recruiting a Shift Production Manager to join their on site Senior leadership team. The Shift Production Manager will be highly visible within the business and will be expected to be a self starter who needs little guidance day to day. The working hours will be Monday to Friday 3pm until midnight.

The role of the Shift  Production Manager includes:

• Management of the day to day production plan ensuring schedules are adhered to and staffing levels are managed in accordance with the plan.
• You will be responsible for ensuring production costs are minimised and any spending is done within budget inline with production volumes.
• You will manage and motivate a team of 15-20 but will need to focus on recruitment of additional staff as the business grows. You will also be expected to carry out effective training of your team and up-skill when needed ensuring a solid succession plan is in place.
• You will be responsible for driving GMP and continuous improvements across the shop floor as well as being responsible for the quality of goods produced inline with high standards of H&S as food quality.

The successful Shift Production Manager must be highly motivated, career driven and a self starter. You will be able to work with little direction and have excellent communication and leadership skills. Ideally you will have worked in a chilled fast paced FMCG environment.
