As Group Expert Instrumentation the scope of responsibilities includes:
Act as technical Expert across locations in project and operations
• Ensure specification are followed
• Control and steer design reviews
• Ensure latest proven technology is used in project design
• Develop strategies and responsible for engineering specs based on new developments in the
market and in line with international standards and local legislations
• Support the project process steps.
• Review and approve technical bid evaluations, support selection of vendors
• Support and use the tools to be applied at different stages of the project.
• Develop capex road map items with Procurement category team as parts of TCO/ SAC program
• Challenges the Engineering partners in his area of excellence
• Can act as expert in Operations for special technical investigation and development of frame
agreement contracts
• Contribute to joint ventures and alliances with technical expertise
Realization of optimization and design for reliability in project Process.
• Capture the lessons learned after each study stage & execution phase for large projects and
regular portfolio reviews for smaller projects.
• Translate these lessons learned in updated Engineering specifications
• Ensure design for reliability aspects are covered in the project
• Support and train discipline engineers
• Lead project reviews in his area of excellence
• Perform risk analyses and recommendation for risk mitigation
• Drive TCO approach in projects (life cycle management)
• Support Spare parts selection process in projects
Responsibility for the technical performance of systems & equipments ( in his are of responsibilities) and the development competences of the discipline Engineers.
• Follow up and do intermediate reviews during project steps
• Act as internal trainer and coach in his/her area of expertise, develop and organise BBA training
packages and lead training sessions.
• Can act as Team leader for the discipline Engineers in projects.
• Can act as expert in Operations for special technical investigation
• Initiates and lead technical interactions/ exchanges with others inside and outside
