- This is an exciting opportunity to join the most highly regarded, multi-billion pound turnover brand in the electrical industry.

- Selling all types of plastic materials used in the electrical build world: lighting, wiring, controls, heating and ventilation.

- Working for an £8 million+ turnover electrical wholesale branch based in Crawley.

The Role:

- As Branch Sales Manager, Profit Centre Manager, you will be managing the full P&L of this highly regarded electrical wholesaler. You'll be managing 25 people, from admin, to warehouse staff, internal sales people and a field sales representative who cover Southeast London.

- Our client provides electrical products like lighting, wiring, controls, HVAC, ventilation and associated products directly to trade.

- With an average sales ledger of over 200 key customers, you will be driving business opportunities with electrical contractors, M&E contractors, M&E consultants, housebuilders, main contractors, architects & specifiers.
- The business split of the role is 80% account management and 20% new business.

- As Branch Sales Manager, Profit Centre Manager, you will look at the business strategically, as it has potential to quickly grow to a £8 million+ turnover and 25+ employees.
- You will drive improved efficiency, as well as sales and operational performance. You will support, train and direct your internal sales people to up-sell, cross sell and target new business, both over the phone and at times face to face.


The Successful Candidate:

- The Branch Sales Manager, Profit Centre Manager will understand how to run a LEAN business. You must be sales led, an inspiring character, able to create an energy and passion within your business. A leader.

- You will ideally have P&L experience, with a sharp commercial mind and the ability to engage everyone from one-man-band electrical contractors to large housebuilders.

- You will be a strategist, always looking at ways to increase market penetration, margins, brand awareness and customer satisfaction.

- You'll have a mix of operational experience, sales management experience, health and safety and HR.

- You will be out in the field with the area sales managers 1-2 times a week.

- You'll be able to sell on the fact that you have the goods in stock and can get them delivered quickly before competitors.

The Remuneration Package:

- Basic salary- £50k- £60k

- Profit related pay, totally controlled by you, giving a realistic OTE in Year 1 of £70k-80k. Bonuses are paid quarterly.

- Car allowance or BMW 3 Series-type company car.
