Business Development Manager

Business Development Manager (PV12) Bristol, England

Salary: GBP28000 - GBP35000 per annum + Mileage paid, 25 hols
Are you an ambitious business development manager with building envelope experience? Do you want to work for a driven start-up in the solar industry with strong company backing? Up to £35k basic plus £10k+ uncapped commission with mileage reimbursed!

The Company:

- Our client is a new start-up from an existing business with strong experience in the solar panel market. This new division of the business focuses exclusively on integrated solar panel solutions.
- European designed and British-manufactured product range that supplies a number of industries.
- A great time to be joining this arm of the business with significant investment being placed in creating new relationships across the construction industry.

The Role:

- Covering South Wales and the Southwest of England, you will be selling through specification our clients range on integrated solar products.
- These solar products include things such as integrated roof panels, cladding panels, and junction boxes that connect the units.
- You will be selling to architects / designers to get these units specified in at the new build stage. You may also get involved with M&E consultants and design and build contractors on occasion as well.
- These products can be used in anything from residential homes up to large commercial structures. As a result, you will also sell to housebuilders and larger tier 1 contractors.
- When not on the road, you will have access to an office in our client's headquarters outside of Cardiff.
- As this role is 100% new business, you will need to be on the forefront of new build projects on your territory. This means using industry tools such as Barbour ABI & Glenigans to search for planning permission.
- You will also attend trade shows and expos to grow the brand awareness.

The Successful Candidate:

- The ideal candidate will have a track record of specification sales success in the construction industry as well as experience conducting CPD presentations.
- Roofing or cladding experience is also desirable as this is how our client’s range of solar products are integrated on to a building.
- Previous experience in solar or photovoltaics (PV) could also be advantageous, although our client will provide excellent product training.
- Finally, the right person will be ambitious and a new business hunter. With this being a newer division of an existing business, it’s critical to get out in the field and get the word out about the product portfolio.

The Remuneration Package:

- £28,000 to £35,000 basic salary based on experience with an achievable £10k on top in commission (which is uncapped).
- Reimbursed mileage (45p per mile). You must have your own car for this vacancy.
