PWR Nuclear Engineer - PSAR (PSAR-N0001) Finland
Project Information:
- Project: Hanhikivi Nuclear Power Plant, a nuclear power plant proposed for construction on the Finnish Hanhikivi peninsula, in the municipality of Pyhajoki.
- It is to house one Russian-designed VVER-1200 pressurized water reactor, with a capacity of 1200 MW. It was estimated that the reactor would supply 10% of Finland’s energy demand by 2024. The plant has been announced to be operational by 2028 at the earliest, and building would not begin before 2021.
Main Purpose of the Role:
- To work on Preliminary Safety Analysis Report (PSAR) writing in Finland
Qualifications and Experience:
- Expertise in reviewing and writing PSAR subchapters / subdocuments such as External and Internal Hazards, Primary Circuit Systems, Overpressure Protection, JEB, JEA, JEC, JEF, JEG, MVNOPSS, LVNOPSS, UNOPSS, LVNORPPS, UNORPPSS, MVSRNORPSS, LVSRNORPSS, USRNORPSS, QEB, LBG, KLA, KLC, KLD, KLE, KLF, KLG, SGD, SGE, BZE, BZA, Turbine Generator, LAB, MAN, LAH just to name a few.
- Good knowledge of operations (not reactor operators) / candidates with a background in overall nuclear power plant safety / candidates experienced with the design of a NPP Construction/ candidates with nuclear licensing process (CLA, OLA, PSAR and FSAR preparation)
- Background in nuclear government bodies (highly preferred)
- Minimum requirements: Knowledge of PWR technology, NPP operation, Nuclear safety
- Language: Fluency in English is a must (French, Russian, or Finnish language would be an advantage)
- English writing capability is very critical as the job requires writing various safety reports in English
