Lead Engineer - Aerodynamics – Permanent – Warwick - £Salary DOE
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Aerodynamic Engineer to join a small but complete vehicle manufacturer within the aerodynamics team.
The Lead Engineer, Aerodynamics will provide technical leadership and oversee the application of simulation and development tools to define aerodynamic targets, to evaluate the aerodynamic performance of vehicle concepts and to identify design solutions.
What You Will Do:
As Lead Engineer - Aerodynamics
- Management and development of client’s aerodynamics capability
- Leadership and coordination of aerodynamics team activities
- Develop and implement strategy for delivery of aerodynamics within client
- Leadership of vehicle programme aerodynamics attribute delivery
- Lead and undertake continuous improvements for vehicle aerodynamics simulation, test and development
- Provide input to aerodynamics team through knowledge share, process and capability development and training.
- Support and liaise with customers and suppliers as applicable to project requirements
What You Will Need:
As Lead Engineer – Aerodynamics
•Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree qualification
•Proven industry experience within automotive aerodynamics
•Utilisation & application of CFD software (Ideally OpenFOAM/Fluent)
•Experience in interpretation of simulation/test/development
•Experience of leading project activities & ability to manage multiple tasks
