Volt has numerous openings for experienced avionics technicians to work in Palmdale, California. These are regular, full time positions offering competitive hourly rates, comprehensive benefits packages, and relocation assistance.

Duties will include installation, configuration, preventive maintenance, testing, troubleshooting and repair of avionics systems, using standard electronic test equipment and specialized tools. All work will be performed in accordance with technical manuals, procedures and other documentation, as well as standard safety and maintenance practices. Additional responsibilities may include training others in the operation and maintenance of remotely operated aircraft. Position may require working indoors or outdoors, in confined spaces, on various work shifts (with paid shift differentials) and/or extended work shifts.

Requirements include hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing avionics or other electronic equipment, experience using standard electrical test equipment, the ability to read and understand technical documentation, excellent analytical and problem solving skills, the ability to document maintenance activities, and strong interpersonal communication skills. Preferred qualifications include a 2-year degree, certification program or similar formal training in electronics or avionics, A&P license and FCC GROL.
