Start Up Mechanic (PCK336-42576) Florence, Kentucky

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for line efficiency, productivity, quality, changeovers, and troubleshooting of packaging lines. Initial emphasis of this position will be for installation of packaging and processing equipment in Florence, KY.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.Responsible for each line start-up and ramp up to efficiency (OEE) performance prior to transfer.

2.Provide training and guidance to machine operator staff and rest of mechanics.

3.Responsible to prepare equipment for Safety and Quality Validations, including defects detected during pre-disconnection assessment.

4.Coordinate subcontractors / Original Equipment Manufacturers during training.

5.Equipment punch list follow-up from Transfer Team.

6.Follow TPM approach for Daily loss Meetings, Daily production meetings, and identifying / following KPI’s.

7.Improve the start-up process with each ensuing wave of installations.


8.Fully Supports an interdependent safety culture and works proactively to accomplish the safety mission in the plant of zero accidents.

9.Supports and embraces the Quality and Environmental missions of the Plant.

10.Perform packaging equipment set-up, troubleshooting, lubrication, cleaning, and sanitization.

11.Maintenance of production machinery in optimum condition through proper preventative maintenance and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices.

12.Repair of production machinery. This includes problem identification, referencing technical documentation, assessment of material requirements, requisition placement, and actual repair.

13.Responsible for the use and replacement of change parts.

14.Responsible for appropriate documentation and record keeping.

15.Willingness to receive internal and external training.

16.Knowledge of Preventative Maintenance programs

17.Experience using Microsoft office applications.

18.Work with vendors to help them to work effectively within the L’Oreal methodology.

19.Solid communication skills and ability to work effectively with others.

20.Experience and involvement with the TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) process.

21.Provide clear descriptions of equipment issues to team members in a training manner to eliminate future occurrences.

22.Other duties and projects as necessary or assigned.


SKILLS, EXPERINCE.EDUCATION REQUIRED:

EDUCATION:Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance or Equivalent

EXPERIENCE:5 years experience in a Consumer Packaging
Manufacturing Environment. Technical training preferred.
