Application Support Analyst Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking an Application Support Analyst for an opportunity in Charlotte, NC. The Application Support Analyst will provide technical consultation and support associated with operating systems, as well as complex analysis of systems software and hardware requirements to determine operating systems specifications and customizations. 5+ years of experience in operating systems analysis/engineering is required for this role.

Responsibilities:

• May design sub systems and system integrations
• Provide the strategy and design to build a utility for systems programming tasks required for installations, configurations, upgrades and testing
• Develop new documentation, participate in the development of departmental technical procedures and designs user support guides
• Consult with management and recommends process and procedure improvements
• As an escalation point for operating system support and troubleshooting, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production, application or system problems
• Lead projects, including assignment of tasks, and provide direction and guidance to less experienced staff
• Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees updating and testing of the business continuation plan
• Provide technical support and maintenance for application monitoring programs
• Update SiteScope profiles in support of the Basic Application Monitoring Initiative
• Perform maintenance and/or simple modifications and application programming tasks
• May write queries or code to extract data and/or validate data loads
• Update related documentation and procedures
• Under general guidance, implements new HP SiteScope profiles or modifies existing profiles
• Resolve moderately complex issues, or escalate as needed, to meet established service level agreements
• Update monitoring documentation and procedures

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience Application monitoring experiencing
• 3+ years of experience in processing customer requests, analyzing requirements, and deliver appropriate implementation
• Knowledge and understanding of the OSI model
• 5+ years of experience providing applications monitoring support to internal and/or external clients
• Knowledge and understanding of Application monitoring tools
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority issues at one time
• Solid critical thinking skills
• Ability to communicate (verbally and written) effectively with both technical and non-technical team members and management
• HP SiteScope
• Ability to learn new applications and business processes quickly
• Experience with writing SQL queries
• Experience writing technical procedures/workflows
