  • Requirements analysis and technical qualification of sales opportunities

  • In depth product demonstrations and management of prospect evaluations

  • Manage and prioritize sales opportunities
  • Clearly articulate the benefits of Sourcefire's applications to all levels including line of business managers
  • Provide input to other cross-functional departments pertaining to prospect requests and product enhancements as needed
  • Maintain account and opportunity updates within our internal sales force automation system 

 Job Requirements:

 

  • 3 + years in a comparable pre-sales position supporting the sales cycle in Networking or IT Security solutions
  • Previous Security experience in one or more of the following desired:

 

    • IPS (Sourcefire, ISS, McAfee, Cisco, Snort, etc)
    • AV
    • Firewall

 

  • Solid presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Commercial awareness and communication skills
  • Proven track record of managing and winning technical and high value IT security projects
  • Successful quota achievement
  • BSc/BA/MBA or equivalent and applicable work experience
  • Experience of administering Unix/Linux systems, low-layer (packet level) IP networking and have a thorough understanding of network security
  • Highly motivated self starter that does not need day-to-day management
  • Desirable

 

    • Press experience
    • Delivering training courses
    • Prior experience with Snort
    • Experience with programming languages such as UNIX shell, Perl or C.
