Team Manager - Youth Justice Advocacy - Kent

Team Manager - Youth Justice Advocacy - Kent (JM - 2921) Rochester, England

Salary: GBP28000 - GBP28000 per annum

Hampton’s Resourcing have partnered with a National Children’s Charity to help them recruit a Team Manager in their Youth Justice Advocacy Team in Rochester.

The charity has been commissioned by the Ministry of Justice to provide an Independent Children’s Rights and Advocacy (ICRA) service to children, aged between 12 and 18 years, in custody.

The ICRA service is child led and independent of the secure estate; the service is based within it to ensure children can freely access support for a range of issues linked to their needs, rights & experiences of custody and resettlement.

As the Team Manager you would be managing a small team of 3 staff within the service.

This role is a child-facing service, involving lone working in the establishments, so we are seeking someone who can see the child, not the offence, who can hold children at the heart of all they do and be a voice for children.

We are seeking an individual who can evidence relevant skills, qualities, knowledge or experience in their work with children from traumatic or troubled backgrounds.

Advocacy qualification training is available, and candidates are asked to express their willingness to undertake this, if not already held.

Salary – Circa £28,000

Please note Evening and Saturday rotas apply to the service and therefore this would be a requirement for this role.
