Our client, a market leading UK FTSE 100, undergoing significant Business re-organisation and Procurement transformation seeks to recruit an experienced OPEX Category Manager to lead the Fleet, Telematics, MRO and logistics categories. This is an exciting opportunity to play a lead role in the development of a ‘greenfield’ procurement function.

Role: OPEX Category Manager
The jobholder will be responsible for developing key stakeholder relationships focused on the continued development of procurement as a trusted business partner. It is expected that the jobholder be able to design and implement appropriate category plans and sourcing strategy in line with business requirements. The jobholder will support the Head of Procurement with the development of strategic sourcing process, policy and ‘best-practice’ within the team. The role is designed to drive operational efficiencies and therefore the individual will be expected to identify these opportunities within the business.

Experience:

• Experience of sourcing across the Fleet, MRO and Logistics category portfolio
• Track-record of developing stakeholder relationships in non-mandated environments
• Ability to support the development of procurement process and policy
• Excellent Negotiation and Communication skills
• Degree and MCIPS preferred
