I am currently looking for an experienced Steelwork estimator on behalf of one of my clients,

Estimator basic requirements include but are not limited to:

Good knowledge of structural steel including section sizes, grades and NSSS 5th edition.
Knowledge of surface treatment and testing requirements.
Good knowledge of contract awareness, in particular NEC3 and standard methods of measurement.
Must be able to do take-offs and have a good knowledge of associated building products (i.e. open type flooring, handrailing, cladding, metal decking etc).
Tekla knowledge would be an advantage but not essential.

Good communication skills are essential and the ability to engage with prospective clients is of significant importance.

Excellent IT skills are essential.

Presentation to Clients and Client development would be part of the role. 

37.5 hours a week,

£Negotiable on experience.
