Site Fitter / Installer (VAC-34167) Driffield, England
We are currently on the lookout for site fitter/installer's for a client of ours based in East Yorkshire,
The site fitters/installers we are looking for will be required to work at client’s local sites and/or work away at client’s sites throughout the UK, for a maximum of 12 days at a time (then 2 days rest).
Paid accommodation (usually own room) and £20 subsistence tax free, when working away from home.
The rate for an experienced site fitter/installer would be based on experience, after 40 hours each week overtime will be paid at time and a half Monday – Saturday and double time on a Sunday.
You will be required to install various steel structures, conveying systems, ducting etc.
Carry out maintenance / servicing works on client’s process plant and equipment.
Operate handheld tools such as grinder, welder, nut runner.
Have a good understanding of the Health and Safety Regulations and what they are responsible for.
Carry out dynamic risk assessment for maintenance works, or work to risk assessments and method statements produced by the Health and Safety team/Site Supervisor.
Carry out pre-use equipment safety checks, identify defects and report them via the Companies Defect Reporting Procedure.
Be able to work as part of a team or on their own initiative.
Work overtime as and when required by the company (including weekends).
The above experience and training is desirable, however, full training will be given to the right candidate.
