Business Affairs Manager

The Opportunity

Working for a dynamic production agency in central London, this is a brand new opportunity for a Business Affairs Manager to come on board and help set up a Business Affairs department. The agency have a real need for an expert within the field, someone who knows their role inside out as well as having the capacity to inspire and lead a team as they department grows. It’s a brilliant chance to mark your stamp on the role.

The Role

• Liaise with various different companies on any rights management required, negotiating where necessary with contacting agents, music companies and voice over agents
• Attend project status meetings to get an indication of delivery dates and project timings
• Obtain all the necessary clearance information and fulfil Clearcast obligations and stages
• Research TV clearance / regulation within international local markets
• Obtain usage details from the Account Team ensuring they cover the period of intended use
• Obtain international voiceover fees & media usage buyout, negotiating fees where possible
• Arranging additional visual & music licensing where this has lapsed or does not exist for that local market
• Arranging artist’s contracts
• Arrange digital delivery with the most competitive supplier
• Supply rotations and notes for all TV & Radio playout
• Manage billings and keep management informed of current status

The Person

• Strong knowledge of international rights management
• Strong knowledge of UK and International clearance bodies and processes
• Knowledge and experience of UK and International distribution processes and suppliers
• Ability to handle multiple jobs at one time, on your own or as part of a team
• Friendly and co-operative, but confident to manage expectations when required
• Proactive in expanding and developing the Business Affairs department
