The Opportunity
A wonderful chance to join this leading organisation in the role of Head of Press & Media Relations. In this position you will be tasked with owning and handling the press strategy and media relations for the company by delivering strong communications across the board.
The Role
- Day to day media handling management
- Develop a new media relations strategy to strengthen the external perception of the company
- Develop and implement a proactive media engagement programme
- Regularly meet journalists and speak on behalf of the company
- Manage relationships and budgets of external agencies
- Liaise with senior stakeholders on a weekly basis
The Person
- 5+ years’ experience within media relations / press strategy
- A black book of top tier media outlets and journalists
- Ability to act as a powerful spokesperson for the company
- Experience of developing and implementing a media relations plan from inception to execution
- Proven track record of developing and landing press engagement strategies
- Experience of leading a business through a major change to their media relations strategy
- Ability, expertise and confidence to challenge existing agencies for better outcomes
