Edit Assistant / Media Transfer Operator
The Opportunity
Calling all technical wizards, we’ve got something pretty spectacular up our sleeves. If QC, ingest, outgest and MCR are all terms you know by heart then get applying! The lucky candidate (Edit Assistant / Media Transfer Operator) will put their ‘safe pair of hands’ to good use to ensure work being delivered for client approval or broadcast is delivered to specific requirements and on time,before going to Broadcasters. Knowledge of standard video codecs & formats, encoding, standards conversions and file delivery are all key skills you’ll have in abundance.
The Role
- Ingest / outgest quality control and delivery of TV commercials for broadcast
- Scope, Waveform & Audio monitoring
- Quality control of After Effects projects to determine suitability for adaptation
- Encoding / transcoding files using Adobe Media Encoder to client specs
- Standards conversions using Blackmagic Teranex and software standards converters
- Overall responsibility for the technical quality of files created for distribution
- Using Zonza and Final Cut Server to track, store and distribute video assets
The Person
- Expert knowledge of broadcast quality control and delivery specifications
- Proven background in quality control and delivery
- Excellent understanding of compression, codecs, formats and deliverables
- Strong encoding skills
- Working knowledge of Premiere
- Basic After Effects usage an advantage
