Omnicom Media Group SBU Financial Analyst
Omnicom Media Group (“OMG”) has recently determined the need for a new position at the Financial Analyst level. The position will be part of the OMG Specialty Business Units’ (“SBUs”) Finance Team and will focus on the budget management and month-end close processes among other responsibilities.
The candidate will need to do and possess the following:
Job Description and Responsibilities:
•Responsible for the monthly close of actuals (revenue and expenses) for SBUs;
•Responsible for the monthly/quarterly/annual financial planning and analysis for SBUs;
•Investigate and prepare variance analysis and rollforwards for budget/forecast/actual reporting periods;
•Prepare support schedules for inter/intra company allocations, accruals, and corresponding journal entries;
•Understand results and respond to questions from management on their SBUs;
•Review, code and approve vendor and travel expenses;
•Assist as liaison between the Systems Manager and Operations to set up new vendors, job codes, etc.;
•Assist in coordinating multiple Financial Directors to ensure timely submission of budgets, variance analysis and ad-hoc reporting;
•Analyze clients projected staff hours, contract totals, revenues, and profit totals;
•Ad-hoc projects and reporting using Excel, Cognos, Hyperion. Reports include but are not limited to: Billings and Revenue, P&L’s, Payroll schedules, Hours.
Requirements and Qualifications:
•Finance/Accounting degree preferred;
•Minimum 2 years of Financial Planning and Accounting experience required and some Audit experience preferred;
•Experience in media or advertising industry a plus;
•High proficiency in Excel including pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas, charts, etc.;
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
•Work well independently and on teams;
•Tenacity to follow-through on open items to complete assignments and meet deadlines;
•Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
•Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and follow instructions.
