Internal Application Specialist
The Internal Application Specialist provides all levels of internal application support. Qualified candidates should possess a working knowledge of standard business computing systems for the desktop. Provides second-tier user support and administration of internal user applications and resources through demonstrated use of analytical and problem solving skills.
The position responsibilities include:
Provide second-tier contact support in troubleshooting application and computing resource issues
Communicate technical information to non-technical personnel effectively, both orally and in writing
The ideal candidate to be selected for this role will posses a Bachelor's degree (preferred) in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline and 2-3 years of IT/Technical Support experience and an In-depth knowledge of MS end user platforms including but not limited to, Office, SharePoint, Messaging, etc. He/She will also have in-depth knowledge of current desktop and mobile computing technology used by the business, of core internal business applications and their operation, knowledge of media business and marketplace trends, OMG technical capabilities and be aware of critical points of contact externally and internally within the OMG network.
Works directly with internal and external clients to ensure that system problems are resolved in the most expeditious manner possible
Ability to work under high pressure situations calmly
Ability to maintain good rapport with clients being supported
Ability to function within a group and possess conflict resolution skills
Ability to provide support to other team members in problem resolution
Ability to quickly analyze problems, interpret operational needs, and resolve or escalate problems in a timely manner
Ability to provide real time support for system issues
Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously
Work effectively with minimal supervision to meet agreed service levels, guidelines, and procedures.
Ability to mentor others in the use and support of OMG business systems
Ability to communicate with management regarding the status of system and support issues
Responsible to report any violations of Security Policy and Systems Standards to management
