NATURE & SCOPE:
Business Analyst focused on workflows, data processing and exploitation of data in the context of drug discovery operations. Work closely with Scientists to introduce, enhance and maintain platforms and tools to support our Drug Discovery Pipeline:
• Support and enhance the development or the acquisition of Drug Discovery Information Management solutions o Collect, communicate and implement requirements o Prepare and execute user acceptance test plans o Provide feedback on features and usability
• Provide tactical solutions to project teams and functional groups that address specific data integration, data capture, data analysis or data interpretation needs
• Ensure that the necessary IT or Informatics tools and training are available to scientists.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Act as a domain expert in Drug Discovery Information Management field
• Collect, communicate and implement software requirements for the advancement of operational and strategic projects.
o Gather, formalize and implement software requirements o Execute acceptance tests
• Deliver tactical data management solutions to the scientists to improve operations and decision-making processes.
PROFILE: Primary Qualifications and experience
• Experience with lab robotics, automation
• Foundation in logistics and data capture platforms o IDBS Activity Base, GeneData Screener, …
o Data analysis software’s (Spotfire, Tableau, …)
• Ability to work with a wide variety of scientists across two sites (may require international travel)
Technical capabilities :
• Proficient in RDBMS technologies, PL/SQL
• Experience delivering solution with Oracle (e.g. APEX platform)
• Knowledge of Data pipelining tools such as Pipeline Pilot, Knime,
• Scripting technologies such as Python, R, Jupyter
• Knowledge of several programing languages, eg: Java, .NET
