Data Analyst / Consultant – Reports and MI (Excel, SQL)
Advantage Resourcing are currently recruiting for a Data Consultant to work for our client’s Estate Management Tooling team. This is a fantastic permanent position to work for a prestigious banking client in Cheshire.

The role is required to mine data from Aternity (End User Performance Monitoring tool) for use by the Sourcing team to gain insight into deployments vs utilisation so that they can drive better deals with their vendors. This is an important role in the Technology Service Operations area and the consultant is required to maintain a broad, end-to-end understanding of components within the application / service, being recognised as the ‘go to’ person for ad-hoc queries and reporting.

To be considered you must offer proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Ideally you will also have experience in SQL and have an understanding of Infrastructure components/architecture (e.g. Servers - AIX, Linux and Windows).

As a candidate you must offer:

•Ability to produce high quality documentation
•Ability to communicate with stakeholders across the business, using appropriate level of detail, terminology and style depending on the audience.
•Ability to debate where appropriate to peers, senior line management and senior heads of business
•The ability to provide observations, comment and insight.
•Wider-thinking and problem solving skills, identifying and delivering reporting through own initiative.
•Ideally you will have experience operating in an ITIL environment with ITIL process flow knowledge.
•Strong candidates will also offer experience in a Monitoring and Alerting environment.

Responsibilities
•Liaise with key stakeholders from Sourcing and application teams to determine their requirements and produce tailored reports.
•Work with end users in troubleshooting issues with performance reports and dashboards
•Contribute to knowledge shares across the teams
•Delivery of documentation/reports / stakeholder packs to agreed standards, on time and error free
•Promote a positive and engaged environment that embraces change and supports continuous improvement
