Site Engineer (Water Infrastructure)

Site Engineer (Water Infrastructure) (BBBH5017) Auckland, New Zealand

Salary: NZD75000 - NZD85000 per annum + Vehicle


Our client is a specialised contractor with over 50 years’ experience operating in a niche end of the infrastructure sector, they have completed some of the most significant water infrastructure projects in New Zealand and have a massive pipeline of projects fast approaching in various locations throughout the country.

They are known for having a great company culture, an ability to retain staff and promote internally and have the need for multiple experienced Site Engineers to join their Auckland team.

Key tasks you will undertake will include:

  • Managing parts of construction project
  • Supervising subcontractors
  • Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings
  • Ensuring the project meets agreed specifications
  • Providing technical advice
  • Ensuring all Health & Safety regulations are strictly adhered to
  • QA documentation
  • Communicate effectively, on technical matters between stakeholder groups including various engineering, technical, construction, operations and project groups

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Have a BE qualification or Diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Proven practical experience in a contracting environment
  • Excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Strong work ethic
  • A good health and safety related track record
  • Ability to communicate effectively with in-house staff, subcontractors and service providers
  • Experience in dealing with clients, consultant engineers, council inspection staff

General Requirements

  • Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screen!
  • Fluent English written and verbal skills!
  • Must have the right to work in New Zealand!
  • Must currently reside in New Zealand!

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a highly motivated Site Engineer with experience in previously working on high profile water infrastructure projects. You will need to be very self-motivated, with the ability to organise and motivate the work force to perform to their full potential.

In return for your hard work and dedication you will be rewarded with a competitive remuneration package, between $75-85k per anum + vehicle, dependent on your experience and expertise.
