Our client is a major civil earthworks contractor operating in the Auckland region, they have numerous projects on the fringe of the city and have a stable pipeline of major projects that are fast approaching.

They seek a motivated, hardworking and highly experienced Land Surveyor to join their high performing team, the right candidate will have extensive experience in all aspects of land surveying and should have no less than 5 years’ experience on large civil projects.

Day to day tasks will include but are not limited to:

• All aspects of surveying including using GPS, Total Station and other surveying instruments/ equipment.
• Producing plans including topographical, cut / fill, as-builts and plans to support claims / variations.
• Assisting site personal with general site needs, including set outs, heights and survey control.
• Assisting quantity surveyors / estimators / management with estimating, variations and payment claims.
• Ensuring survey equipment is maintained, calibrated and kept in good working order.

The right candidate will have:

• A bachelor’s degree in surveying or an equal qualification.
• At least 5 years Surveying experience in New Zealand.
• Currently hold a valid NZ work visa.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work on own accord or as part of a team.
