Project Manager (Three Waters)

Project Manager (Three Waters) (BBBH5081) Auckland, New Zealand

Salary: NZD120000 - NZD130000 per annum + Vehicle


Our client is a specialised contractor with over 50 years’ experience operating in a niche end of the infrastructure sector, they have completed some of the most significant water infrastructure projects in New Zealand and have a massive pipeline of projects fast approaching in various locations throughout the country.

They are known for having a great company culture, an ability to retain staff and promote internally. They have the need for an experienced Project Manager to join their Auckland team.

Key responsibilities:

  • scheduling/estimating
  • cost management
  • subcontractor management
  • schedule of quantities and applying rates
  • tender preparation and analysis
  • progress claims and assessing variations
  • Liaising closely with Project Managers (monthly progress claims and variation costing)
  • Managing pricing of tender process

Qualifications/Experience:

  • With a passion for customer focused outcomes, strong communication skills, and a collaborative nature;
  • Must be able to work to deadlines and complete tender packages
  • Civil Engineering or related degree and min 5 years’ experience in New Zealand;
  • Strong communication, negotiation skills, team player with the best interests in mind for the business
  • Excellent computer skills, knowledge of buildsoft and Costx Software is preferable
  • Experience and an excellent understanding of the local market is helpful, full training will be given so candidates with slightly less experience may be considered provided they have the right attitude and a willingness to be mentored

General Requirements

  • Fluent English written and verbal skills!
  • Must have the right to work in New Zealand without sponsorship!
  • Must currently reside in New Zealand!

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a highly motivated Project Manager with experience in previously working on high profile water infrastructure projects. You will need to be very self-motivated, with the ability to organise and motivate the work force to perform to their full potential.

In return for your hard work and dedication you will be rewarded with a competitive remuneration package, circa $120k per anum + vehicle, dependent on your experience and expertise.
