Project Manager (3 waters- Immediate start)

Project Manager (3 waters- Immediate start) (BBBH5032) Waikato, New Zealand

Salary: NZD120000 - NZD130000 per annum + Vehicle


Our client is a specialised contractor with over 30 years’ experience operating in multiple areas of the 3 waters/water infrastructure sector, they have completed some of the most significant water infrastructure projects in New Zealand and have a massive pipeline of projects fast approaching in various locations throughout the country.

They are known for having a great company culture, an ability to retain staff and promote internally and have the need for multiple experienced Project Manager to join their Hamilton team.

Key tasks you will undertake will include:

  • Managing parts of construction project
  • Supervising subcontractors
  • Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings
  • Ensuring the project meets agreed specifications
  • Providing technical advice
  • Ensuring all Health & Safety regulations are strictly adhered to
  • QA documentation
  • Communicate effectively, on technical matters between stakeholder groups including various engineering, technical, construction, operations and project groups

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Have a BE qualification or Diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Proven background working on 3 waters/water infrastructure projects (Concrete (PE Lined) Pipes, Manholes, Concrete diversion chambers, Sheet-oiling, Dewatering) in New Zealand
  • Experience working on relevant projects of $15 million and up
  • Proven practical experience in a contracting environment
  • Excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Strong work ethic
  • A good health and safety related track record
  • Ability to communicate effectively with in-house staff, subcontractors and service providers
  • Experience in dealing with clients, consultant engineers, council inspection staff

General Requirements

  • Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screen!
  • Fluent English written and verbal skills!
  • Must have the right to work in New Zealand!
  • Must currently reside in New Zealand!

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a highly motivated Project Manager with experience previously working on high profile water infrastructure projects in urban areas. You will need to be very self-motivated, with the ability to organise and motivate the work force to perform to their full potential.

In return for your hard work and dedication you will be rewarded with a competitive remuneration package, between $120-130k per anum + vehicle, dependent on your experience and expertise.
