Franklin Smith has the opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer to join a unique client and work on significant infrastructure projects in the Auckland CBD.

Projects will consist of road and utility maintenance, upgrade and development so the candidate must have well rounded experience in both roading and 3 waters projects, preferably with both consultancy and contractor.

Role requirements:

• Plan and schedule of day to day activities
• Review engineering /design deliverable's, providing pricing and initiate appropriate corrective actions
• Doing checks for quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status
• Oversee RFI’s
• Client liaison and site visits
• Monitor compliance to applicable codes
• Among other duties

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Have a BE qualification in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
• Membership of Professional Body such as IPENZ
• Proven exposure to all aspects of civil infrastructure projects in New Zealand
• Experience working on relevant projects of $15 million and up
• Sound knowledge of civil engineering design principles
• Excellent problem-solving ability
• Strong work ethic
• A good health and safety related record
• Ability to communicate effectively with in-house staff, subcontractors and service providers
• Experience dealing with clients, consultant engineers, council etc
