The Role
The Project Engineer (Software & Controls) will report to the Project Manager / Controls Manager on all aspects of project progress and cost control. The Project Engineer will provide software engineering expertise for both proposals and projects in conjunction with the relevant technical authority. The Project Engineer shall be responsible for the completion of Projects within budget, on time and to an acceptable quality, while conforming to company policies and procedures
The Successful Candidate
To be successful in this application candidates will need to be able to demonstrate that they possess the following skills, attributes and experiences:
- Knowledge of automotive / related industries
- Experience of designing and coding PLC programs using either Siemens Step 7 or Rockwell Control -logix programming software.
- Experience of designing and coding in a high level language such as VB.Net or C++
- Knowledge of electrical engineering and fault finding in a control systems environment.
It would be highly advantageous if candidates also possessed:
- Experience of using Wonderware Intouch development software.
- Robot programming experience (Fanuc / Kuka / ABB / Durr robots)
- High level language programming in an embedded environment.
