Research Coordinator - San Antonio, TX
This position is a short term 3-4 month assignment supporting the Diabetes Center of Excellence at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, TX.
•Participate in designing and writing protocols, case report forms and informed consent forms for clinical trials.
•Participate in the design, implementation and monitoring of clinical trials, preparation of integrated medical reports, etc.
•Provide guidance to recruitment/selection on new investigators, contract research organizations and outside vendors.
•Assist in planning and implement all activities required to conduct and monitor complex trials and ensure that Good Clinical Practices (GCPs) are followed.
•Monitor site visits pre-study, at study initiation, at regular intervals during the study closeout.
•Assist to ensure principle investigator's performance and adherence to protocol, and proactively address conduct issues and enrollment problems, as necessary,
•Oversee and participate in patient recruitment efforts.
•Enroll/perform informed consent of patients entering research trials based on research protocols.
•Monitor and participate in the compilation/writing of integrated medical reports.
•Assist principle investigator with the preparation of manuscripts for technical journals and make presentations at scientific meetings.
•Assist in planning and execution of all aspects of the Diabetes Center of Excellence in concert with Air Force Diabetes Program strategic plan, goals and objectives.
•BS in a scientific or health care field from an accredited institution (e.g., nursing, pharmacy, physician's assistant) is required.
•Minimum of five (5) of relevant clinical research experience is required years within the last six (6) years.
