The Project Manager will act as the customer contact and advocate for the delivery of high-quality products and services as efficiently as possible and maximizing satisfaction and value for the functional teams. This individual will identify business opportunities, participate in developing proposals, formulate and execute program/project plans, strategies, and functions. Individual is responsible for managing all aspects of various programs/projects inclusive of overseeing the development and review of project requirements, work plans, project plans, resource management, schedules, budgets, support and testing plans, and the execution of project activities ensuring satisfaction of program/project requirements and completion of all deliverables. Candidate will provide support and assist in deploying corporate processes, reporting processes and other strategic initiatives.
•Demonstrate leadership and people skills to lead, direct, influence, and motivate project teams and promote constructive relations among internal and external customers. Provide mentoring to project team members to enhance skills and knowledge.
•Performs business development activities, including teaming with business partners to identify/promote new business opportunities to maximize value creation and efficient services and the preparation and review of technical and cost proposals.
•Support corporate business team in defining program/project scope, expectations, and requirements.
•Direct project activities to meet client and organization work objectives and serve as a liaison with clients to coordinate activities, negotiate tasks, and solve problems
•Identify, investigate, evaluate and manage conflict and risk at project and business levels.
•Develop and track program/project performance, schedule, costs and deliverables for more multiple concurrent projects.
•Deliver project results within the constraints of schedule, budget and resources managing interdependencies between projects and overall program risk mitigation.
•Assures quality of products, services, and deliverables, including participating in reviews, audits, and site visits.
•Assess and recommend external resource requirements. Develop statements of work for subcontractors and ensure performance of those subcontractors
•Coordinate and monitor sub-contractor activities and administer subcontractor deliverables and finances.
•Develop and present detailed and complex presentations to project teams, executive management, and customer personnel in a clear and concise manner.
•Comply with and recommend improvements to established project management standards and guidelines.
•Assess organizational needs and adapt corporate project management practices accordingly.
•Bachelor's Degree or in technical or business field.
•5 years of experience leading implementation of projects of various scales and accomplishing corporate objectives within target budget/dates.
•Experience managing Department of Defense programs
•Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent (preferred)
•Two (2) years of current proposal preparation and analysis experience for a government contractor
•Comprehensive knowledge of proposal development lifecycle, federal government procurement process, and proposal generation.
•Self-starter, highly organized with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision; a positive, can-do attitude; quickly adjust to schedule and requirement changes-a "quick study"; work well in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
•Fluent in MS-Office suite (Word, Excel, Project, Power Point), Adobe Acrobat, and collaborative workspace software applications.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
