Information Assurance Network Specialist - Lackland AFB, TX
•Assists the 59th Medical Wing Chief Information Assurance Officer in the implementation and enforcement of prudent systems security measures for "entire network" to include, but not limited to Windows domains (web, Virtual Private Networks, Medical System Workgroups, Public Key Infrastructure including registration and documentation, and private networks, a wide variety of client hardware including Intel-based personal computers, on a network consisting of 10 base100
•Support the management and operation of the, Internet Security Scans, and must be able to utilize the following technical security tools, Wireless Enterprise Protocols, etc.
•Assists in deployment and implementation of anti-virus software on servers and PCs
•Assists in deployment and implementation of Time Compliance Network Orders(TCNOs), Notice to Airmen (NOTAMs), and Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs) from Air Force computer emergency response team (AFCERT) and Air Education & Training Command (AETC), policy, guidance, and appropriate software on servers and PCs in accordance with AFI 33-138, Enterprise Network Operations Notification and Tracking and all other applicable security instructions
•Assists in providing troubleshooting process to include http, https, snmp, and smtp and security methods associated with networked computer environments
•Assists in providing training tools to provide all users with Information Assurance training
•Assists in certification and accreditation, and audit of all systems in accordance with DoD, Air Force, AETC, and local regulations, instructions, guidelines, policies, and DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP), Platform Internet Technology (PIT), Manages the process of assessing security features of government-produced and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software and hardware subsystems, according to AFI 33-210
•Review, research, and provide guidance on processing, eCRD (electronic communications requirements documents)
•Review, research, and provide guidance on remedial action on security related trouble calls
•Assist on audits with Information Assurance Officer (IAO) and Information Assurance (IAM) Managers
•Assist IAO with investigations regarding computer crimes, i.e., inappropriate activity on the official government computer/network (pornography, gambling, racist activity, conducting personal business transactions, etc.) AFI 33-119 Air Force Messaging, 33-129, WEB Management and Internet Use and other related AF and DoD instructions and regulations
•Assist in reviewing user agreements for accuracy including network access requirements, i.e., current IA CBT licensing for users
•Make sound recommendations to improve network functionality with backup documentation
•Assist with training classes on current issues regarding IAO and IAM Manager competencies
•Provide written communications (i.e., recommendations, surveys, procedures, standards, etc.); and all command files, source code, object files, libraries, executable images, and other computer files created
•Manages the IA education, training, and certification for Air Force IA professionals and users according to DoD 8570.01-M
•Ensures information systems are cleared or sanitized according to AFSSI 8580, Remanence Security
•Comply with notice and consent requirements according to AFI 33-219, Telecommunications Monitoring and Assessment Program (TMAP)
•Perform duties as the Local Registration Authority (LRA) for the 59th MDW

Qualifications:
•Shall have five (5) years of experience within the last ten (10) years
•Capable of operating the Non-Classified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNet) and the Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet)
•Shall have and maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
•Secret Clearance Required

Physical Requirement

•Provide proof of or consent to immunization for the following diseases: Hepatitis B, MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella), Varicella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis (TDAP), Tuberculosis (TB), HIV (Contractor Personnel who have direct patient care) and influenza for all personnel prior to start date
•If an individual has a past positive TB skin test, the Contractor shall provide proof of a negative chest X-ray within twelve (12) months
