Partner with Reinsurance Officers in managing Ceded Reinsurance for Commercial and/or Consumer divisions .
Support the treaty reinsurance placement process with pre-submission details, including the collection and review of data, and apply appropriate analytics to ensure accuracy and completeness to support the reinsurance treaty decision making process.
Monitor various internal functional reviews post-submission, such as abstracts, risk transfer forms, compliance requirements and general documentation support.
Perform monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations including loss summaries, exposure reporting, profitability calculations and/or finance impacts to “in-force” reinsurance portfolios.
Assess data for reinsurance submissions, prepare experience exhibits, and attend renewal preparation meetings.
Provide product line data review for a combination of catastrophe modeling inputs and/or per risk exposure analysis.
Prepare and review contract wording, track placements and documentation, coordinate underwriting audits with reinsurers/brokers and ensure compliance.
Manage all internal administration including obtaining market security approvals, creating abstracts, completing risk transfer forms and maintaining active treaty lists. Apply analytic skills in support of analyses involving product line profitability and/or financial impacts of the reinsurance structure.
Participates in ad-hoc reinsurance-related projects and assignments as required including data base validations.
Technical Skills and Expertise:
Bachelors degree required
Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Engineering
Experience in Underwriting, Reinsurance, Actuarial, and or Risk Management
Strong Analytical and modeling skills (spreadsheets, relational database, statistical packages, simulation, optimization, MetaRisk, RMS, and other tools)
Exposure to accounting, finance concepts and pricing models
In depth PowerPoint and Excel knowledge
Strong influencing and communications skills and ability to work across multiple areas of company and industries
Ability to maximize internal and external networks
