Marketing Communications Specialist (PCK333-216010) Boston, Massachusetts
Primarily support the Lexington Insurance Company as day-to-day contact for marketing communications needs. Make recommendations and help execute marketing communication needs based on outlined strategy.
§ Support marketing communication initiatives through various communications channels including collateral development, video projects, website content maintenance, advertising needs, event marketing, and internal communications.
§ Works directly with the creative, event and ebusiness teams to execute on initiatives.
§ Ensures all work consistently supports the brand guidelines regarding tone, messaging and visibility.
a. Work with on the development of marketing content for promotional efforts such as collateral, emails,and press releases
b. Manage monthly newsletter and coordinate with alignment of stories, messages, etc.
c. Develop and manage a Collateral System for Lexington Insurance Company.
d. Develop/update collateral for tradeshows and events
e. Ensure all new marketing collateral is posted on the Marketing Center on the Intranet site and included employee enewsletter
f. Develop email campaigns
a. Assist in drafting press releases and facilitating them through the review process; send a monthly status on releases
b. Coordinate the posting of press releases and product/offering information on websites
c. Schedule meetings with SME, Legal, and Senior Marketing Coordinator for press interviews
d. Create quarterly Lexington PR mention list for distribution
e. Media Days: Help coordinate annual media days with key publications working with the Director
and Executive Assistants on the schedule and logistics
g. Review editorial calendars for opportunities for Lex to submit relevant information and
webcasts/podcasts to appropriate editor on relevant topics
h. Maintain distribution Lists
i. Develop a list of reporter contacts for press releases and newsworthy events
j. Assist with the development and management of Corporate Responsibility Program – including
standards, reporting, video
a. Assist with advertisement and media placements
b. Assist with the development and coordination of creative pieces (hard and soft copy ads)
c. Assist with advertisement measurement reports
d. Submit the information into the Starcite system and coordinate the approval process
a. Manage all award submissions for various pubs and organizations to ensure we meet deadlines with
the necessary information.
b. Coordinate with team members to ensure that communications get updated accordingly with
Sponsorships/Charitable Giving/Corporate Responsibility
a. Work with key stakeholders to review the business objectives for submitted sponsorships/donations
b. Process all necessary paper work to facilitate payment of sponsorships/charitable donations, etc…
c. Manage communications for Lexington Cares Committee and Diversity initiatives.
d. Help develop a comprehensive Corporate Responsibility program in line with AIG guidelines for Lexington Insurance company.
- 3-5 years experience in marketing and communications, financial services/insurance
preferred but not required.
- Must have strong writing skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Must have a proactive attitude and ability to be flexible
