Your new role
- Support the business sale process, including acquisition, transition, and handover activities
- Assist with closing out accounts and financial records for the outgoing business
- Set up accounting processes, systems, and records for the incoming business structure
- Prepare reconciliations, financial reports, and supporting documentation as required
- Liaise with stakeholders, including business owners, advisors, and external parties to ensure a smooth transition
- Ensure accurate financial records are maintained throughout the transition period
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience as an Accountant with business acquisition, sale, or transition experience
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and general accounting principles
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities within tight timeframes
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Experience setting up or migrating accounting systems and processes is highly regarded
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders
What you'll get in return
