Analyst - Demand Planning (PCK336-48621) Berkeley Heights, New Jersey

Under the direction supervision of the Demand Planning Manager, the Analyst will establish and manage item (SKU) level statistical forecasts for their specific area of accountability. Gather and incorporate all sources of sales and marketing intelligence to produce the best possible operational forecast. Work cross-functionally to develop New Product forecasts. Work closely with the Supply Planning team to identify and resolve changes in the forecast and their impact on the supply chain.

1. Demand Planning
· Manage brand and SKU forecasts using the Logility planning tool
· Make objective adjustments to the demand plan by determining how variables such as advertising/media spending, competition, new launches, consumption and promotional displays impact the forecast
· Review forecast accuracy for area of responsibility to continuously improve forecast accuracy
· Prepare and present analysis of forecast changes at monthly forecast review meetings with MSL and Manufacturing
· Present results of the monthly forecasting process to Department Management
2. Business Planning
· Participate in monthly forecast consensus meetings with Marketing and Sales utilizing relevant retail consumption data and current and future market activity; present recommended adjustments based on analytical conclusions
· Analyze account specific trends to determine risks & opportunities by account for assigned categories, utilizing forecast models
3. New Product Planning
· Generate new product demand plans utilizing relevant historical data, competitive information, benchmarks and marketing/sales feedback.
· Review relevant catalog add-delete scenarios and present recommended changes based on analytical conclusions
· Analyze account specific trends on launches utilizing forecast, inventory build and veolicty models to determine risks & opportunities
4. Other:
· Handle multiple projects/tasks in an ever-changing environment and ensure all deadlines are met
· Perform special projects/tasks as assigned
· Work on cross-functional project teams with all levels of management to improve processes and tools

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research or other quantitative discipline
· 0 - 3 years work experience preferably within a fast-moving Consumer Products industry
· Software Skills: Experience with a forecast modeling tool preferred e.g. Logility, Manugistics. Proficiency in the MS Office Suite required, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills. SAP experience helpful
