Job Title: Network Engineer

Location: South Region 

Contract length: 6 - 9 months

Overview of the role:

We have a project that is kicking off where we need two contract Network Engineers to travel around to each of my client's operational sites to install and configure new Cisco Meraki routers and switches. You will be expected to make 2/3 site visits per weeks and the rest of the work will be completed at home. We have secured an Engineer for the North and require someone to cover the South to limit the travel as much as possible.

There are 120 sites spread from Scotland to the south coast therefore there will be some overnight stays involved, My client would be looking to provide a vehicle and cover any hotel costs directly.

The project is to separate the local LAN on each site into multiple LANs with different firewall rules and access control in order to improve security. They will however have already tested the solution, agreed the configuration and purchased the equipment before the start of the project therefore we just need Engineers that are familiar with networking kit and can install and test to an agreed configuration. Each of the sites will have slightly different existing legacy equipment installed however therefore they do want Engineers who can “think on their feet” and work through any issues that arise with the install.
