SUMMARY OF ROLE
Key responsibilities include delivering commercial lighting design and scheme work to high standards within tight deadlines. This position requires a diligent and professional commitment to project management through the entirety of a project.

The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of project management from technical support, project design support and verification, on-site installation advice, commissioning verification and after sales consultations. This is an important role involving close liaison with the workshop, QA, production control and sales teams.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supporting the creation of the Lighting Scheme to meet the requirements of the Client, Architect, Interior Designer, Installer and producing a Quotation to supply.
• To maintain constant communication with all parties to enable the clear flow of information.
• Thorough project management pre and post order, where necessary involving site visits and meetings.
• Dealing with general Sales and Technical telephone and email enquiries as necessary.
• Quoting for Specials and working with the product design team to ensure timely and accurate development of project specific products.
• Ensuring profitability is maintained at project, sales order and product level.


SCOPE OF POSITION
Work Pattern - shift, hours, overtime, and standby 8½ hours p/day (42½ p/week) Expected to work as required to meet project deadlines
Travel UK Travel to visit Clients, and sites often required



PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential Desirable

Key Skills
• At least 2 years’ project management experience
• A good understanding of Microsoft Project and project management methodologies and approaches.
• Results driven and passionate about improving performance, you should also be skilled at leading people and assessing risks.
• A confident communicator, you will enjoy working collaboratively and building strong relationships with senior leaders as you initiate, plan, monitor, control, deliver and close all kinds of different projects.
• Understanding of Technical Drawing techniques
• AutoCAD or similar software experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (internally & externally)
• MS office software experience
• Excellent self organisation, time management with a disciplined and professional approach to work

Knowledge/
Experience • Understanding of different lamp types and lighting techniques
• Previous experience creating lighting designs to client briefs
• TLC product knowledge
• Other manufacturers product knowledge
• Understanding of manufacturing techniques
