Content Designer (23892/001) Blackpool, England

Salary: GBP300 - GBP400 per day

 

Overview:

This is a role within the services and information industry. My client require a content designer who can write high-quality, user-focused content, and understand the web, technology and people.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Developing content plans

  • Develop and apply content and format strategies

  • Develop and manage relationships - both within GDS and with other government departments

 

You’ll be:

 

  • Scoping, commissioning, writing, editing and publishing digital content

  • Managing relationships with subject matter experts to make sure content is accurate

  • Choosing the best format for displaying information to the user - if we don’t have one, we’ll want you to suggest ideas or identify the gap

  • Making sure appropriate policy and legal checks within other parts of government happen, and that content is published quickly and efficiently

 

We work in an agile environment. You must be at ease with rapidly changing deadlines, workloads and goals.

 

Essential skills & experience required:

 

  • extensive experience of writing for the web, with proven ability to create content that is accessible and usable

  • proven experience in using metrics and user feedback to define and improve content

  • proven experience of managing relationships with stakeholders

  • experience in working with content publishing systems

  • GDS

  • Agile

  • experience writing the export (domestic) contan stategy

  • DIT

 

Nice-to-have skills & experience:

  • experience of using Markdown or basic HTML
