Pension Accountant (7751BR) New York, New York

Accounting professional with experience in accounting and financial reporting for employee benefit plans including defined benefit, defined contribution and health and welfare plans. Job responsibilities include:

- Overseeing the development of the financial statements required for compliance with the
Department of Labor Form 5500
- Overseeing the GAAP and Statutory accounting for the plans, including the related note
- Monitoring the impact of changes in market conditions on plan expenses, statutory surplus and
pension plan funding
- Reviewing plan expenses
- Work with the business units on the allocation of plan expenses
- Assist in the development of the assumption used to generate plan expenses

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with 8 - 12 years expereince
Experience in benefit plan accounting
Experience with expense allocations
Knowledge of SAP and the Business Warehouse
