Accountant - Investment Reporting Analyst (7716BR) New York, New York

The Investment Reporting and Analysis Division (“IRAD”) is responsible for the GAAP and Statutory internal and external reporting of all investment data. These duties include, but are not limited to:

• Investment detail reports for the Board of Directors
• Quarterly and Annual rating agency surveys
• Preparation of certain financial statement footnotes
• Coordination of support for all investment and separate account financial statement footnotes for auditor review
• Compliance with disclosure requirements of accounting standards
• Variance analysis for senior management
• Quarterly schedules for Controller’s book
• Asset Valuation Reserve (“AVR”) and Capital Gain Tax allocation journal entries
• Peer company financial statement review
• Quarterly schedule preparation and distribution to business units
• Interaction with various departments including; Legal, Office of the Chief Investment Officer, Business Units, Tax, NYLIM, Operations, etc..
• Ad hoc requests

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years accounting or equivalent experience
• Working knowledge of GAAP and Statutory accounting principles
• Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office products
• Experience in any of the following systems is a plus: SAP, CAMRA, Wings
• Strong organizational and written communication skills
