Utilizes sales information and knowledge of current manufacturing capabilities to develop production plans that achieve both budgeted inventory levels as well as the required service levels to L’Oreal customer. Determine and coordinate all aspects of new launch feasibility projects by acting as the liaison between members of marketing, R&D, T.P.D., and manufacturing teams to ensure that elements of a critical path are completed, as well as personally executing certain elements of a project to ensure qualitative and quantitative product launch success.
1.Develop long-range production plan for manufacturing operations respecting all factory constraints and designated inventory goals.
2.Act as liaison between all manufacturing teams and marketing to include the management of all information for product launches, on-going business items, quality issues, stock status and miscellaneous manufacturing issues.
3.Receive and review requests for marketing cost estimates and submit estimates reflecting direct and indirect costs to include necessary periodic updates during the term of the project.
4.Represents manufacturing operations in marketing meetings and provide any and all information necessary to plan launches and establish tie lines necessary to meet the launch schedule. Report applicable information concerning marketing activity and launch products to the appropriate manufacturing personnel.
5.Control finished goods stock by assisting Planners in scheduling based upon current attainment and sales. Provide finished goods stock update reports to the Division General Manager, Plant Manager, and Division Manager.
6.Insure that functional date is accurately maintained in the production plan and is up to date.
7.Where applicable, coordinate import and export activity.
8.Provide manufacturing system support for MRP.
9.Manage and supervise all subordinate personnel.
10.Coordinate inter-plant production activity within the L’Oreal Manufacturing Division.
11.Manage and implement all L’Oreal policies and practices including, but not limited to, the Corporation’s Equal Employment Opportunity Policy and applicable safety and health procedures.
