Associate Brand Manager (BBBH6282) Los Angeles Metro Area, California
Our client is a fast-growing and well known CPG company operating in the health and wellness space. They are seeking an Associate Brand Manager to join their team to help deliver key marketing programs to market on-time & to a premium level of execution. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the ABM is responsible for supporting the brand in critical elements of the marketing mix including POS development, packaging, competitive reporting, developing retail selling stories, and budget management.
The ideal ABM candidate will have an understanding of the brand’s active, healthy lifestyle and also must be professional, enthusiastic, a solid team player and possess a drive for results. He/She should have outgoing entrepreneurial energy, strong decision making and analytical skills, effective written and verbal communication skills, the ability to think strategically AND creatively, the ability to multi-task, a willingness to roll up his/her sleeves as needed, and self-motivation.
Job Responsibilities include:
Business Analysis, Planning & Growth (40%)
� Support the development of annual marketing plans through business analysis, and by identifying key insights that will lead to areas of opportunity for growth
� Assimilate trends, industry data, and research to provide input into in the development of brand strategies and annual marketing plans, advertising, and promotion budgets
� Lead the development of promotions and customer plans to assure that our client remains at the forefront of the industry
� Conduct analysis of pricing strategies, lead out on competitive reporting, and drive development of data-driven customer selling stories
General Marketing Support (60%)
� Generate and manage the brand POS and programming materials (agency and in-house creative briefing to assisting with sales allocation)
� Lead the daily execution of several components of the business by collaborating with cross functional teams consisting of Agency Partners, Field Marketing, Communications, Retail, Sales, Supply Chain, Product Development, and other key stakeholders
� Oversee packaging design agencies and manage cross functional team for all primary and secondary packaging design, approval, printing and tracking
� Manage marketing budgets, coordinate monthly marketing volume and spending projections. Ensure adherence to budget and compliance requirement with periodic reports to manager
� Manage and track the project priority list to ensure that all projects are aligned with cross-functional team, prioritized according to business need, and resourced appropriately to meet expectations.
� Evaluate, recommend and implement new promotion and sampling opportunities for the brand
� Actively participate in agency meetings & management (advertising, promotions, events, media, etc.)
� Drive other new initiatives such as market research and consumer collateral creation.
- B.A. or B.S. in Marketing (MBA preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of consumer marketing experience (beverage industry, Health, lifestyle, cosmetic, and/or other consumer packaged goods preferred)
- Strong analytical skills - IRI / Neilsen a plus
- Ability to lead cross functional teams and projects and develop marketing plans
- Strong creative, budgeting/analytical, and design skills
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
- Ability to travel 20%
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including some early mornings, nights and weekends
- Fluency in Spanish (or other languages) a plus
