Castle Hospitality are currently looking for Cook to work within a busy café in the centre of Whitby area for a start date in March with ongoing hours. This position is to cover Maternity leave.  Our client is easily accessible via public transport from Whitby and surrounding areas. 

Offering a good rate of pay in a very busy and popular Whitby café.

Your duties as a Cook will be to:

• Work in a kitchen and kitchen preparation environment
• Responsible for cooking classic meals such full English breakfast, sandwiches, fish & chips
• Day to day kitchen prep for busy day time and evening service
• Follow approved recipes
• Ability to work independently on their own
• Work as part of a team and to support business owners 
• Any other associated kitchen duties, washing dishes, cleaning the counters

To be considered for the role of the Cook you will ideally:

• Be comfortable working in a kitchen environment
• Have the ability to work to the required pace and accuracy
• Have previous experience in a food/ cook/ chef related role

Full training is given for this role over a 4-week period.  The ideal candidate will need a good eye for details and be reliable and committed to flexible working hours of a maximum of 20 hours per week initially.
