Maintenance Engineer

Proftech Talent are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join a fast growing team in the Walsall area.

Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:

• Respond to site breakdowns and equipment faults
• Diagnose and repair faults and breakdowns on machine tools
• Carry out routine equipment maintenance work and TPM schedules
• Complete and/or manage equipment services
• Responsible for developing Total Preventative Maintenance programs and training
• Generate breakdown / call-out reports
• Maintaining housekeeping and HSE standards in the working environment
• Manage spare part and tool store requirements
• Participate in rotational cover for machines and equipment in case of breakdowns
• Some basic level facility maintenance
• Plant installations/removals

Maintenance Engineer Requirements 

• Engineering apprenticeship, HNC or City and Guilds (electrical and mechanical ideally)
• Experience of working in Automotive/Aerospace manufacturing environment
• Experience working with CNC machine tools – preferably Lathes and Milling machines
• Experience with Chiron, Scherer, Fisher Leak Testers, Wash plant, Siemens Controls
• Some experience with Fanuc robots a big advantage
• Ideally some PLC experience
• Read and Interpret electrical drawings
• Can work with Hydraulics and Pneumatics
