Mobile HGV Mechanic - Bicester - Salary is negotiable depending upon experience - Permanent
Proftech Talent are looking for a HGV Mechanic to join a fast past, ever growing team in the Bicester area.
The ideal candidate will have Refrigerated vehicle, trailers and HGV service, repair and maintenance experience.
HGV Mechanics responsibilities will include:
- To ensure all service and inspection documentation is correctly completed
- Management of individual workload and job assignment
- Use of workshop environment in a correct manner
- Correctly record the use of parts
- Ensure that knowledge is in line with modern technologies and developments applicable to the role
- Contribute towards effective preventative maintenance
- Supply own tools as specified from the company
- Communicate accurately with Foreman / Manager as to work in progress and any anticipated delays or issues
Skills required for the HGV Mechanic:
- Excellent knowledge of mechanics and electrics
- Full driving license (preferably including HGV entitlements)
- Appropriate technical qualifications
- Excellent understanding of vehicle maintenance requirements and procedures
- Apprenticeship training as commercial fitter
- Extensive experience as a mechanic in a commercial vehicle environment
- City and Guilds levels 1 and 2 - Level 3 desirable
