Fleet Technician

 

Proftech Talent are looking for a mobile Fleet Technician, to work within the fleet maintenance department in the Bridgnorth area. The purpose for the role is to ensure the mobile fleet vehicles are repaired, serviced and maintained as per manufactures service and repair standards.

 

Main duties for the successful Fleet Technician:

- Ensure all vehicles and workshop equipment are maintained 

- Adhere to HSE Regulations and guidelines

- Contribute in reporting or resolving incidents, near misses and accidents through relevant reporting tools

- Conduct and review risk and method statements for contractors

 

Essential requirement for the Fleet Technician role:

- A sound background in mechanical FLT repairs and servicing

- Good knowledge of FLTs ideally gained through a combination of a formal apprenticeship and theoretical application   and any other additional learning

- Good understanding and ability to work from service or parts manuals as well as drawings

 

Desirable skills and experiences for the Fleet Technician role:

- FLT SMR experience

- Experience within a workshop / field environment

- FLT driving license

- I.T experience, Email, Excel and Word

 

The ideal candidate for the Fleet Technician role will be:

- A good team player

- Have the ability to work unsupervised

- Be reliable and trustworthy

- Have good time keeping

- Strong mechanical bias

 

Experience servicing Forklifts models (below) would be considered a huge advantage:

- Hyster

- Kalmar

- Linde
