Mechanical Technician - Bridgnorth - £ 26,000 plus shift allowance - 4 on 4 off x 12 hour days - Permanent position
Proftech Talent are looking for a Mechanical Technician to join an ever growing team in Bridgnorth. You will be working within the Mechanical Team to maintain all machinery including both proactive planned maintenance and breakdown repair.
The ideal candidate for the Mechanical Technician role will be hard working, dedicated, driven and have a flexible working attitude.
The shift patterns for the role will be working on a 4 shift pattern working days and nights I.E 2x 12 days 6am - 6pm - 2 x 12 hour nights 6pm - 6am, 4 days rest.
The main duties for the Mechanical Technician role:
- Carrying out breakdown and planned maintenance tasks
- Reading and understanding drawings, designs and system schematics
- Having the ability to apply specialist craft skills for the assembly, dismantling, inspection repair and testing of mechanical equipment
- Assisting in the training and development of other members of the team and apprentices
- Ensuring product quality by managing throughput issues in the execution of maintenance and work improvements
- Responding to site emergencies to recover/restore production in a timely manner
