Mechanical Fitter/Pipe Fitter
This is an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter who would like the best of both worlds, working in Newton Aycliffe primarily and the opportunity to work Offshore 3-4 times a year. I am looking for On Site Technicians Uk and Offshore in Europe, hands on mechanical fitter who can train up to the operation of isolation tools and pipe plugs, to work on site and Offshore Platforms. Usually 2-3 weeks at a time.
Previous offshore experience is an advantage, but not essential, up to date survival again would be an advantage, but if you have the right skills this will be provided.
Factory working hours are 39 hours per week. around £9ph and rising to £11ph after full qualification. Rates of pay offshore is an additional 175 per day plus hourly rate, daily rate once qualified is over £300 a day really boosting the wage.
Holidays 4 weeks per year rising to 5 weeks after 2 years service, also after 2 years the company offers life cover and 39 hours attendance bonus.
Experience in Foam, disc and Cup pigs is an advantage, plugs weld testers, twin tyre multi plugs, polyurethane products, Pig signallers, spheres, Pigging Accessories, Pipeline Accessories.
