Senior ATM Product Manager (14E) (008396) North Canton, Ohio

This Senior Product Manager position will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle of new and existing Self Service Terminal product lines globally. As a member of the Self Service Core Systems business unit, you will own and direct a family of Diebold ATM products. This position will be key in capitalizing on new market opportunities and upgrading existing lines by defining and deploying innovative Self Service ATM products within Diebold's core financial services industry segment. You will manage multiple proof-of-concept and pilot engagements with various global customers to vet new business models and launch new offerings.

This is a highly visible position working closely with and guiding empowered teams from various organizations involved with the entire product line in the realization of new products. This role will coordinate the activities of Business Analysts, Systems Architects, Software Engineers and Hardware Engineers from ATM Module Groups to deliver product solutions. You will also work closely with Channel Marketing to analyze business needs and market feedback and formulate competitive decisions.

Essential functions for this position include:

  • Act as corporate business partner for interacting with strategic accounts, including line of business, operations, technical development during proof-of-concept, implementation, and operational phases of new solution sales
  • Manage the product lifecycle of a Self Service Terminal product family to guide:
    • Product upgrades
    • Product launch
    • Cost reduction activities
    • New product introduction
    • Withdrawal decision-making
    • Market opportunities
  • Assume ownership of an entire ATM family, including portfolio management, market needs and profitability
  • Lead the development of business models, business plan reviews, and pricing for product and service solutions integration
  • Engage strategic partners at the Product Management level and integrate partner solutions, manage development partner relationships and agreements
  • Provide product launch leadership to associates from other teams and contributors including:
    • Business Analysts
    • Systems Architects
    • Software Development teams
    • Hardware Engineering teams
    • Product Management teams
    • Global Marketing teams
  • Provide business analysis, business models, and plans for new product proposals and offerings
  • Develop value propositions, lead the design of business architecture documents for product and service solution sets
  • Rationalize offerings and pricing strategy within the vertical markets to meet business strategy and revenue objectives
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and primary competitive offerings that enable strong differentiation and value proposition for Diebold products and services
  • Maintain knowledge of advances in technology including Cloud-based computing, network virtualization, Agile development methodologies and new product development



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a business or technical field required; MBA preferred
  • 6 to 10 years experience in Product Management in a technology-based environment
  • 3 to 5 years experience successfully launching new products
  • Complete product lifecycle management experience
  • Experience with software-controlled hardware products
  • Strong business acumen with a high interest and knowledge of technology and technology industry trends
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical requirements with Software/Hardware/Systems Development teams
  • Financial industry experience preferred, ATM experience a plus
  • Ability to design and analyze business processes and systems
  • Exposure to software/systems development is preferred; familiarity with Agile methodologies a plus
  • Familiarity with Project Management methodologies and software tools
  • Excellent presentation skills; will be called on frequently to present proposals and plans to Sr Management and executive sales briefings; customer-facing or sales experience is helpful
