As the Senior Service Systems Engineer for Diebold Inc, you will be responsible for leading a small team of service engineers and technical experts in support of HP's new Client Automation Enterprise software (formally "Radia"). As a member of the Software Deployment Team, you will play an integral role in the continued innovation and expansion of Diebold's Integrated Services Organization by managing the growth of our remote deployment systems and infrastructure.

In this role, you have the opportunity to plan and administer the architecture of HP's Client Automation Enterprise software to support newly expanded service solutions in our Integrated Services Organization. You will be responsible for the design of systems deploying new software and operating systems to ATM's remotely.

Some essential functions of this position include:

  • Administration, operations, and planning of the HP CAE application, databases, and reporting
  • Planning and implementing OS Patch updates on client devices
  • Providing software and data distribution to/from client devices
  • Implementing and overseeing system changes impacting the HP CAE system
  • Defining and leading the triage and problem solving process
  • Pre-sale support/customer presentations
  • System problem determination
  • Definition of systems software requirements (e.g. Specification documents)
  • Provide technical mentoring to junior professional systems associates
  • Participate as an active member or sub-team leader of project teams
  • Assume the role of project manager under certain circumstances
  • Provide advice on what products might fulfill the customer's needs
  • Write formal documents such as proposals and statements of work
  • Provide consulting services to customers
  • Implement integrated solutions using Diebold, third party and custom software
  • Provide consulting services to evaluate potential professional service opportunities, technical information relevant to technical issues, consultation with the customer on matters regarding system implementation, staffing and staff training, network design, network security and guides the customer in the establishment of operating standards and procedures
  • Provide technical troubleshooting and escalation to resolve customer or systems product issues in the post implementation environment
  • Responsible for all activities relating to systems implementation and upgrades
  • Can coordinate project activities between field and/or home office resources as necessary for the successful implementation of professional services engagement
  • Author system design/modification specifications as part of a customer engagement



Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Computer Science, or related areas or equivalent education and/or experience
  • 5 - 10 years in professional service and technical systems deployments (programming, networking, systems integration, data security, or other I.T. skills)
  • Must have experience with operation and administration of HP Radia or HP Client Automation Enterprise software
  • Experience with deploying software upgrades and operating system patches for Microsoft devices
  • Experience with MS Security and Win Server
  • Knowledge of SQL Server database administration preferred
  • Project management experience desired but not required
  • Microsoft certification (MCSE) and Cisco certification (CCDP) are highly desirable and will be given highest consideration
  • Detail oriented, strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in teams
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership and associate/technical mentoring
