Castle Business Support are recruiting for an experienced marketing individual to join an exciting established further education and higher education establishment in Hull, East Yorkshire as Head of Marketing.

This is a very exciting opportunity to join the team as Head of Marketing, overseeing the delivery of our client’s Marketing and Student Recruitment activity. Your role will be central the strengthening their brand/image amongst key stakeholders, markets whilst supporting their priorities. You will act as a point of authority on all marketing and external communications matters, including playing a key lead on the analysis and utilisation of labour market to inform the marketing and student recruitment strategy. Your role will oversee student recruitment activity across the establishment from enquiry to application and work very closely with key leaders to support them with achieving their recruitment KPIs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop their marketing and student recruitment strategy
  • To take overall responsibility for the Marketing functions to deliver clear recruitment activities and positive customer experience
  • Develop and implement an operational marketing plan that includes KPIs for the marketing team objectives
  • To lead on the development and enhancement of their brand profile
  • To take responsibility for the development of the website and other online marketing resources including social media and digital channels
  • To deliver and deliver against KPIs for marketing, recruitment and communications
  • To manage and allocate the marketing budget and to be accountable for the deployment of resource, both financial and human, within Marketing, Recruitment and Communications Service
  • To work closely with the College’s business delivery arms to develop responsive marketing solutions for BD and concerted marketing sales activity whilst maintain excellent relationships
  • To be responsible for setting and evaluating short term and long term PR objectives; including seeking opportunities for raising the college’s profile on a local, national and international level and media crisis management
  • To work closely with other key business functions, including student services to develop a clear recruitment strategy and positive customer service
  • To work with outside agencies as required in the delivery of strategic Marketing and PR deliverables perceived as crucial to their development

Requirements:

  • You MUST be qualified to degree level or equivalent, ideally with a management qualification
  • You MUST have knowledge/experience of delivering shared service provision in complex organisations
  • You MUST have experience of events management; press office management; PR; web development, digital and omni-channel marketing
  • You MUST outstanding knowledge and experience of planning and delivering innovative marketing campaigns and approaches to new products and initiatives
  • You MUST have strong team leadership skills and ability to motivate and inspire others to reach organisational goals
  • You MUST have a strong strategic vision for improving and enhancing the employee experience
  • You MUST have excellent interpersonal and networking skills
  • IDEALLY you will come from an education background
